Fernlight

Inspired by the delicate beauty of fern fronds, this collection of handmade porcelain vessels celebrates the elegance of nature through traditional Chinese ceramic craftsmanship.

Each vessel features hand-carved fern motifs and Linglong (玲珑) translucent accents, where carefully created openings allow light to filter through the porcelain. This traditional technique transforms the surface into something almost luminous, revealing the delicate balance between solid form and transparency.

The fern designs are individually carved into the clay, creating subtle variations in texture and depth. Paired with earthy, softly glazed surfaces, the vessels evoke the quiet beauty of foliage unfurling in a forest. Each piece has its own character, from the gently rounded bowl to the taller, more upright cup.

Whether displayed together or enjoyed individually, these vessels bring a touch of the natural world into everyday life. Their interplay of carved detail, translucent porcelain, and light reflects the philosophy at the heart of Borealis Tiger Studio: finding beauty in the relationship between traditional techniques and the organic forms of nature.
